Our Guiding Principles

We begin with awe and wonder of God’s Creation. We are present and curious, allowing us to be more attentive to each gift of each student.  We model this for our students and recognize their attentiveness and observation may require more.

We offer an engaging school experience where every student can pursue their God-given gifts within community. We teach core concepts while incorporating interests of students. We measure progress based on growth, assessments (curriculum-based measures), and work samples. We provide:

  • ongoing staff education and training

  • faith formation

  • personalized assessment

  • goal setting

  • skills-based “quests”

  • curriculum and enrichment flexibility

  • weekly direction for parents to integrate the Stella Maris curricula into their family’s lives
